Before I became a psychotherapist I was an artist. I studied literature, made paintings and objects and installations and art books, and worked as an editor, designer, and art conservator.
Many years of spiritual practice and trajectories through challenging life experiences led me to the practice of therapy. Every theme addressed on this website comes out of my lived experience and directly from my heart.
The transition that led me to inhabit the space alongside your search started with a serious bout of chronic illness that lasted for many years and led me through a transformation of my spiritual life. I don’t believe that we have to walk through the valley of the shadow of death all by ourselves, and especially not in secrecy or imposed silence.
Part of my getting better involved almost 7 years of searching through traveling and living abroad before returning to the United States to start this new career in the land of my birth. I’m happy to be here with you in the midst of the challenges we’re facing.
